Disclaimer – I’m not an expert at cloth diapering at all. Only been in it 2 months with Viv (though LB has been using cloth pull ups at night for about 6 months). But here’s my 2 cents on wash routine
Before I knew anything about wash routines I threw LBs cloth pull ups and inserts into a heavy duty wash with some detergent and called it a day. I didn’t have any issues except a slight stink. But that was just a few months, and I need vivs diapers to last years.

As yal know i’ve been collecting baby items like I’m due tomorrow. I had been researching sleeping options since I was about 12 weeks.
With LB, we made mistakes. We had his crib of course and other than that just a pack n’ play with a built in bassinet. LB hated it. We ended up cosleeping (safely) and I was ok with that – but I want to be better prepared this time.
In my research, I came across the mumbelli. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one of these!

Last week I did something I’ve been needing to do for months –
I broke up with my OB.
I’m sad about it for a few reasons. One – I love love love my OB. I came across him by chance (I was going to another gynecologist, she retired, and I was transferred to him). From my first check up I liked him. He’s easy to talk to, listens to my concerns, never cuts my appointments short AND somehow is still always on time. And… let me be honest – he’s a fellow African America. Basically we feel like family. He was excited for us when we had the second ultrasound to confirm we were expecting (the first there was just a sack – we weren’t sure if this one was gonna make it). And I look forward to updating him on every appointment about my workouts/runs/baby movement/etc. His staff is also excellent.
The problem? Something I’ve known from that first appointment I had with him – a year before I got pregnant with this blessing.
His VBAC policy.
