I had the honor of doing a boudoir shoot with Morgan Tolentino a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to share some of my favorites.

To think, I almost cancelled this shoot.

I was going through a stressful time, and to be honest – it’s even more complicated than that. It’s that I feel every photoshoot I do, especially pregnancy ones, have to include my family.

I need to represent. Because we do exist. Beautiful functional black families are out here and I need to show the world. And I need to look perfect. And modest. And Christian. And like we don’t listen to TI during dinner.

But sometimes I just wanna be me and do a boudoir shoot at 37 weeks pregnant with a beautiful pregnant photographer who makes me realize that just being me is worth showcasing, too.

Morgan was totally professional and made this shoot feel like it was just us hanging out and talking. I couldn’t believe we even got any good pics with how fun it was. I didn’t feel like i was posing at all!
